What happened to this former adult star did not happen on its own.
The guy she was going to turn in for recruiting lots of underage girls is how it happened.
Now, she can’t communicate to identify him.
Emily Willis
Emily Willis—real name Litzy Lara Banuelos—was admitted to Malibu Lighthouse Treatment Centers last year to recover from a severe ketamine addiction. Just 25 years old at the time, she was battling anxiety, PTSD, and was reportedly ingesting up to six grams of the drug daily. But according to a lawsuit filed by her family, the rehab center’s alleged negligence left her with irreversible brain damage and permanent mental and physical incapacity.
The lawsuit accuses the luxury facility of dependent adult abuse, professional negligence, and fraudulent practices. Willis’ caretaker and plaintiff, Yesenia Lara Cooper, claims the facility failed to properly treat or monitor her condition—despite her being underweight, dehydrated, and suffering from a urinary tract infection.
Tragically, she was found unconscious just over a week into her stay and had to be revived with CPR before being transferred to a hospital.
Though Willis allegedly refused care at times, the lawsuit argues that she was a dependent adult and should have received adequate medical oversight and support.
The family is seeking significant damages, legal costs, and restitution. The facility has not yet responded publicly.
