Recent documentary about the clothing company

I guess this A+/A list singer/judge who isn’t a host hasn’t seen the recent documentary about the clothing company?

Or was the check just so big, she doesn’t care about supporting them.

LuLaRich’s Derryl on Taking Down LuLaRoe and Boycotting Kelly Clarkson

It doesn’t seem right to say that there is a breakout star of Amazon’s LuLaRich—given that the docuseries centers on a multilevel marketing company, LuLaRoe, that allegedly operated as a pyramid scheme and bilked thousands of people out of millions of dollars. (Earlier this year, LuLaRoe settled one lawsuit making these claims, which was filed by the Washington state attorney general.)

But during LuLaRich’s first weekend on Amazon, Twitter users determined Derryl Trujillo to be the project’s unexpected highlight. In the docuseries, Trujillo describes how he sacrificed his job as a high school volleyball official to work at LuLaRoe. After a short time with the company, speaking to frustrated retailers who could not recoup their investments, Trujillo left LuLaRoe in cinematic fashion and joined the ranks of LuLaRoe vigilantes online.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Trujillo explains a bit more about his background. Speaking about his days as a high school volleyball coach, Trujillo recalls that he had been “on the career fast track” when he was hired at LuLaRoe. But Trujillo says the company eventually made him choose between volleyball and LuLaRoe.

“I thought I was representing an ethical company so I was perfectly happy to hang up the whistle and retire at the time,” says Trujillo. “Knowing what I know now, it is the biggest regret of my life.” – Source
