June 2024 – Mark Wahlberg launched this restaurant with a bishop’s blessing, promising customers will “feel like they’re at home”

Mark Wahlberg expanded his restaurant empire by opening Flecha in Huntington Beach, California. He aimed to create a homely and exceptional dining experience with “Mexican Redefined” cuisine from renowned international chefs and master mixologists. Located in the Bella Terra Shopping Center, the restaurant featured live music, DJ nights, and exclusive events.

Flecha was another milestone following the success of Wahlburgers, his burger chain co-owned with his brothers, and Alma Nove, a Mediterranean and Italian restaurant named after their mother.

His experience with Wahlburgers, which grew to 110 locations worldwide, prepared him to launch Flecha and future projects.

July 2024 – The grill at Wahlburgers in the Town of Brookfield shut down for good. The 6,000-square-foot restaurant at 325 N. Market St. opened nearly five years ago as the first franchise in Wisconsin through Hy-Vee, Inc.

Operated by Chef Paul Wahlberg and his actor brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, the restaurant at The Corners of Brookfield featured made-from-scratch recipes for burgers, chicken, fish, vegetarian options, and a full bar. Before its opening in September 2019, Paul Wahlberg aimed to embody Midwestern kindness, friendliness, and quality, even noting that Milwaukee residents were “too friggin’ nice.”

The Brookfield location has been removed from the Wahlburgers website, its social media pages taken down, and it is listed as “permanently closed” on Google. Despite this closure, Wisconsin still has six Wahlburgers locations in Madison, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Ashwaubenon, Fitchburg, and Janesville.

Jan 2024 – It’s officially the end of an era for Mark Wahlberg’s long-standing burger restaurant in downtown Toronto, which just announced it’s closing its doors after nine years in business.
