Elon Musk reinstated conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on X, formerly Twitter, despite Jones being banned in 2018 for harassment.

Jones, known for promoting conspiracy theories like the Sandy Hook shooting hoax, was also banned from Facebook and YouTube.

Elon Musk agreed to bring back Alex Jones to X after a user suggested it on Saturday.

Musk conducted a poll with his 165 million followers, and by Sunday, a vast majority supported Jones’s return.

Musk honored the poll results and reinstated Jones’s account on Sunday morning, although Jones did not immediately resume posting.

Trustee Christopher Murray filed an “emergency” motion to wind down Infowars’ parent company, Free Speech Systems, indicating intent to sell off assets while seeking court intervention to halt immediate collection efforts by Sandy Hook families.

Jones, facing significant legal challenges, intends to continue broadcasting in some capacity despite the platform’s closure.
