The wealthy bookseller is going to destroy the long running movie franchise.
The OG owners wanted it the tried and true way and the bookseller hated that so threw so much money at the OG owners they couldn’t say no.

In February 2025, Amazon MGM Studios acquired full creative control over the James Bond franchise from longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.
This transition, reportedly costing Amazon over $1 billion, marks a significant shift in the stewardship of the iconic series, which had been under the Broccoli family’s guidance for more than six decades.
While Broccoli and Wilson will remain co-owners of the franchise, Amazon now holds the authority to make key creative decisions, including casting and the development of potential spin-offs.
This move has elicited mixed reactions: Daniel Craig, the most recent actor to portray Bond, expressed admiration and support for the producers’ decision, whereas former Bond actress Valerie Leon voiced concerns about the franchise potentially losing its British identity under American corporate control.
Amazon’s acquisition aims to rejuvenate the Bond series, with possibilities of more frequent film releases and expanded content, such as television series, to reach a broader audience.
