The thirsty lawyer is about to be fired by the A+/A list singer.

Edward Burke Jr.

Justin Timberlake

What happened:

In a recent virtual court appearance, Justin Timberlake found himself on the receiving end of a judicial scolding. The pop star, appearing from Antwerp, Belgium, pleaded not guilty to a revised misdemeanor charge of driving drunk, stemming from his June DWI arrest.

During the proceedings, which resulted in Timberlake’s driving privileges in New York being revoked, Judge Carl Irace had to put Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., in a timeout for blabbing to the press. Irace told Burke to zip it or face a gag order and drag Justin off his European tour and into the courtroom.

Timberlake’s case includes citations for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. Burke maintains that Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest and is confident that the charges will be dismissed.

The next hearing is scheduled for August 9, with a tentative court date set for September 13, depending on the outcomes of the upcoming proceedings.
