In September, T.I. and Tiny Harris were awarded $71.4 million in damages after accusing MGA Entertainment of copying the likeness of the OMG Girlz for their L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls. However, on January 6, U.S. District Judge James Selna ruled there was insufficient evidence proving MGA intentionally infringed on the OMG Girlz’s trademark under the Lanham Act, reducing the award by $53.6 million in punitive damages.
